Thermographic Imaging Services

We will work with you, your veterinarian, or your animal care professional to produce high quality images and reports that will assist you in the treatment of your animal, or in your purchase decision. Inside Out does not make a diagnosis of any problems that are visible in the thermographic image but the images are medical qualitiy and can assist your animal care professional in pinpointing problems that do not show up using other technologies such as x-rays, MRIs and ultra-sound. For more information on what infrared thermography can do visit our information page.

Pre-Purchase/Sale Equine Scan

This scan is designed to provide as much information as possible to those buying or selling a horse. It includes a thourough thermographic scan of the horse, an extensive evaluation of the scan by our IDI analyst, and a report on that analysis prepared for both the buyer and the seller of the horse.

The report will contain digital copies of all images (useable by your veterinary or animal care specialist) and the IDI analyst will make themselves available to discuss the report with you.

Our IDI analyst does not make any final diagnosis of disease or conditions affecting the horse. They do however pinpoint problem areas not easily revealed using other technologies or hands on examination. These problem areas are identified in the report so you veterinarian can use the information to facilitate their diagnosis and minimize the need for costly procedures.

Saddle Fit Session

The saddle fit session includes thermographic images taken before you ride your horse, once you saddle them, and after they have been ridden with the saddle on for 15 to 20 minutes. Additional images can be taken after adjustments are made to the saddle and/or padding to determine the effectiveness of the adjustments.

Saddle fitting sessions are ideal to fit into clinics and can be great fundraisers for clubs and 4-H groups.

Other Animals

Our infrared thermography cameras can be as effective at pinpointing problems in other animals as they are on humans, horses, and dogs. They are a particularly useful tool in situations where animals are not easily handled or where minimal contact is preferred such as with zoo animals and other livestock.
